Bahamas Live-Aboards

One of the best ways to truly experience the diversity of diving The Bahamas is via live­aboard dive boat through some of the undiscovered areas.

With 700 islands in The Bahamas, a live­aboard offers a terrific opportunity to access some of the world class diving land based operators don't necessarily reach. Many times, these areas are remote and a live­aboard offers the only accommodations available. It can cover a vast area so one diving vacation can include peering over incredible walls, whipping along on thrilling drift dives, exploring caves and caverns, seeing large pelagic fish, sharks or dolphins and enjoying shallow reefs teeming with tropical fish.

The live­aboard experience allows a very casual and relaxed vacation with the emphasis on maximizing your time underwater. These boats offer up to three to five dives per day. Dive computers can help you take advantage of this opportunity and can be rented on some of the boats.

The Bahamas live­aboards offer a great atmosphere for the beginning or experienced U/W photographer who wants to shoot as much film as possible. Visibility can reach nearly 200 feet and the abundance and variety of marine life are unmatched. Many of the boats offer E­6 film processing so you can see your results immediately.

The Bahamas has long been a boaters' paradise-known for its crystal clear water and seemingly endless chain of islands and cays perfect for beachcombing and exploration. Depending on the boat and itinerary, there is usually an opportunity for one or more shore excursions. This can consist of relaxing on beautiful white, powder sand beaches, enjoying the local bird or iguana populations or exploring an out island settlement.
